The StartUp Summer Camp is a week-long (Sun-Fri) summer program designed to turn dreams and interests of today’s youth into passions and reality.

Martin Chaplin

Co-Founder, Director

Martin Chaplin Is an experienced Georgia Middle grades Science  (4-8) certified STEM educator skilled in curriculum development, technology implementation, and universal design for learning across diverse learning settings. Martin Spent six years of his career in the classroom as a Science teacher.

During his time in the classroom, Martin received Southwest  Georgia’s Georgia Power Science Grant, Gizmos Educational Technology Leadership award, and Mimio Educational Technology Certification.   Previously, Martin worked with Goodie Nation, One of Atlanta’s top social impact startup accelerators on their K-12 curriculum team. On a national level, Martin worked on a team that developed a culturally responsive curriculum with the National Science Foundation (NSF) at Purdue University’s Engineering Research Center (ERC)’s CISTAR program. This curriculum was implemented in multiple STEM  Camp Sites and in the National Society For Black engineer”s (NSBE) Summer Engineering for Kids program in 15+ sites across the nation.


Raeshawn Pelote

Co-Founder, Co-Director

Raeshawn Pelote is the Co-Founder of S.Q.U.A.D and also serves as the co-director. His passion for making sure young men are exposed to opportunities in an advancing world has turned him into a real change agent. In his short time in Atlanta, Ga Raeshawn has completed a Community Health Leadership program at Morehouse School of Medicine, received the Innovation Award from Quest Diagnostics, joined Big Brother Big Sister program, and was awarded 30 under 30 from YPN Atlanta. Raeshawn’s goal for the youth is to turn their interest into passion, passion into dreams, and dreams into reality.

Vincent Culley

Chief Financial Officer

Vincent L. Culley is an executive, financial officer, entrepreneur and investor. As a partner of Supporting Quality Urban Adolescent Dreams (S.Q.U.A.D Inc) he oversees the financial operations and investment activity of the company. He was asked to play this role in S.Q.U.A.D Inc. because of his extensive experience in financial management and budgeting. Vincent currently serves as Chief Financial Officer.


Prior to his role at S.Q.U.A.D Inc., Vincent was in management at AT&T over the course of seven years. He has managed and mentored over 50 representatives during his tenure. He was previously employed in a new sales channel called Integrated Sales Solutions, where he served as an Integrated Sales Manager being responsible for managing and expanding the small business located in the South Atlanta territory. Throughout his career, Vincent has managed consumer and small business accounts in a variety of transactions.


Vincent is a graduate of Albany State University (with a bachelor’s in Accounting). He currently has multiple investments in real estate, trucking, and as serves as an active mentor for The Start-Up Camp ATL. Vincent enjoys traveling, reading, working out, planting, and mentoring young adults.
