Martin Chaplin is the founder and Executive Director of Supporting Quality Urban Adolescent Dreams Inc.(S.Q.U.A.D Inc.). Martin is a native of Savannah, Georgia and an Alumnus of the Unsinkable Albany State University. While attending The South Georgia HBCU, Mr.Chaplin received a B.S. in Middle Grades Science Education and accepted a position as an 8th grade Science Teacher in Atlanta, Ga.
After moving to Atlanta In 2014. Martin took full advantage of the resources and opportunities the city is known for. Since being there, he has co-founded an email marketing firm(Zelos Automation), a STEM-based mentor Group for Black males(S.Q.U.A.D INC.) and more recently an education reform and ED-innovation Coalition( ImaginED GA).
Martin’s passion for STEM led him to be a fellow in the National Science Foundation’s CISTAR Program at Purdue University and to being a site director for the National Society for Black Engineers’ Summer Engineering Experience for Kids Program (SEEK). Along with his Civic endeavors, Martin sits on the leadership team of strategic operations for Atlanta Black Chambers millennial auxiliary The Young Entrepreneurship Collaborative.
Because of Martin’s inner-city upbringing and recollection of his communities disparities, he is a social entrepreneur at heart. Martin works diligently to ensure that equity is at the forefront of all his work so that he reflects the change that he wants to see in the world.
Raeshawn Pelote is the Co-Founder of S.Q.U.A.D and also serves as the co-director. His passion for making sure young men are exposed to opportunities in an advancing world has turned him into a real change agent. In his short time in Atlanta, Ga Raeshawn has completed a Community Health Leadership program at Morehouse School of Medicine, received the Innovation Award from Quest Diagnostics, joined Big Brother Big Sister program, and was awarded 30 under 30 from YPN Atlanta. Raeshawn’s goal for the youth is to turn their interest into passion, passion into dreams, and dreams into reality.
Chief Financial Officer
Vincent L. Culley is an executive, financial officer, entrepreneur and investor. As a partner of Supporting Quality Urban Adolescent Dreams (S.Q.U.A.D Inc) he oversees the financial operations and investment activity of the company. He was asked to play this role in S.Q.U.A.D Inc. because of his extensive experience in financial management and budgeting. Vincent currently serves as Chief Financial Officer.
Prior to his role at S.Q.U.A.D Inc., Vincent was in management at AT&T over the course of seven years. He has managed and mentored over 50 representatives during his tenure. He was previously employed in a new sales channel called Integrated Sales Solutions, where he served as an Integrated Sales Manager being responsible for managing and expanding the small business located in the South Atlanta territory. Throughout his career, Vincent has managed consumer and small business accounts in a variety of transactions.
Vincent is a graduate of Albany State University (with a bachelor’s in Accounting). He currently has multiple investments in real estate, trucking, and as serves as an active mentor for The Start-Up Camp ATL. Vincent enjoys traveling, reading, working out, planting, and mentoring young adults.
